STARLITE DRIVE-IN - SCHERTZ, TX --- WHO REMEMBERS???

Starlite Starlite back in the trunk again tonight --- Wonder which Stars we’ll see tonight?
For those of you that recall and have fond memories of the Starlite Drive-in in Schertz, right off the base, well it’s still there along with the memories,  both a little older.  I went by this spring on a beautiful day and met two hobos, (I only use that term because they did not feel they were homeless and to be time appropriate), living there and they seemed to be doing well. They took me on a tour and were both pleased to know the name of the Drive-in, we named it Starlite Estates.  Below are a few pictures, screen was still standing and did not look bad for 50 + years, kinda like us.

Gloria, This is terrific! I was just talking with my husband about the drive-in movies we loved as kids! There’s another one still in operation in Victor, Idaho across the mountain pass from Jackson Hole. My husband’s first "car stereo” was two drive-in movie speaker boxes that he “lifted” from a drive-in movie he worked in as a high school sophomore. Remember those old bulky, staticky things that hung on the car windows? Thanks for sharing these pics of the Starlite!
