GUY BLAIR '65

Danny and I recently flew to Oregon for vacation and while we were there we visited Guy and Martha Blair and their daughter, Karen. They live in Beaverton. Guy is retired from Intel. He just had shoulder surgery so that explains the sling he's wearing. Guy and Martha have been married about 28 years. Their daughter, Karen will be a sophomore in high school next fall. Their dog's name is Shadow. Thanks for letting us visit with y'all .....

LUNCH AT MACARONI GRILL

Hi y'all. Some of us got together at Macaroni Grill in Selma (The Forum) for lunch. This picture was taken before we stuffed our faces. If you are trying to figure out who the lady on the left or in the foreground is - forget it - they didn't go to Randolph. From right to left - Jackie Greene Muir, Kathy Dailey Norton, Linda Tucker Prater, Gloria Campbell Gallagher - Mickey Farrell and Charlee Stringer (our new best friends). We talked about the Reunion and who is coming and who is staying with whom. It was a 3 hour lunch - 2 martinis for some of us. (Not me - I have a migraine). If you want to join us for lunch next time, email me and we will arrange a time and place. Missed you Carole!!! Love, Gloria

I took this picture of a cactus in bloom outside of the restaurant when I left. I thought it was pretty cool.

THE TROBERMANS

Gloria, I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I LOVE seeing the pictures and hearing the stories!!!

I wish I had some old pictures from high school – but no luck. I just have my yearbook.

Thought I would send a picture of 4 Rohawks!

From left to right: The Trobermans …

My sister Patty did not attend Randolph High.

KURT LINHOF - '67

Hi Gloria,

I'm Kurt Linhof, class of '67 - Biographically, I spent almost 2 1/2 years at The Ro-Hawk Institute. Have great memories, and good friend Susan Ohman just hooked me up with you and the network, so I'm now on your mailing list and happy to see it's so active. Attached is a pic - I'm still playing music for kicks, and writing and recording, and am a custom electric guitar builder to the stars (Stones, Joe Walsh, John Mayer, Clapton, etc.) but in real life, have operated a Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas consulting company for almost 30 years, which finances my other hobbies habits quite nicely these days. I've been living in Denver since I left Texas, after 10 years of rock & roll in Houston and Dallas, quitting the music business, before it killed me, in 1977. I'm looking at buying something South of here for the winters (Playa del Carmen) as I'm getting too creaky for this Denver weather, as good as it is the rest of the time...If any Ro-Hawk reading this has the hot tip on buying cheap land (hahaha) near the beach south of Cancun, Quintana Roo, I'm all ears. I still love it but San Antonio just isn't far enough south...I'll see y'all at the reunion!

All the best,
Kurt Linhof

NEW GRANDBABY FOR GLORIA!

Chuck, Lyn, Danny and I wish to present our newest grandchild. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl but it's our daughter, Allison's latest project! This ultrasound is at 10 weeks! It's laying horizontally with its head on the left. I think it looks like Chuck --- what do y'all think? Gloria

LINDA TUCKER PRATER '67

Gloria,

I have enjoyed seeing and hearing about everyone's lives and families through the blog and as you know I have been meaning to share some family background and to send some pictures of our family and especially our three granddaughters for awhile and decided (with your encouragement) I better just stop everything else and go ahead before the summer crunch really starts here at the office and at the coast.

Sounds like the turnout for the reunion is really going to be good and I am so excited about being able to see so many from the 66 and younger classes that I haven't seen in 30 or 40+ years. Can't wait to hear what took them to all parts of the country and what paths their lives have taken.

As for Richard (Schertz 64) and I we have been married and in the real estate business on Pat Booker Rd for 37 years. My Mother and Daddy are still rather young (78 and 80) and doing pretty well. We bought the real estate company from them in 84 and my Dad remained active in realestate and golf until a couple of years ago. My Mother is still sharp (even after a heart attack in 05) and wish I had her mind for trading stocks. Richard's parents passed away several years ago but his brothers and sister live in the area.

We have two sons Sam 32 and Nick 30. Sam came to work with us about 4 years ago and he and his wife Kim have two daughters Macey 4 and Kamryn 7 mos. Nick is in commercial real estate in San Antonio and he and his wife Kimberly have one daughter Emerson 5 mos. Yes we have two daughters in law named Kimberly D. Prater which made for an interesting experience when they were having babies and went to see each other.

I must say our newest purpose in life as MiMi and P is such a joy. Our life for as long as I can remember was hunting, fishing, football and baseball. Now it is dress up, tea parties, princess camp recitals and bubble baths. Since football and baseball are over the sport of choice is off shore fishing and Sam and Nick and P are really trying to get the girls interested early (both Kim and Kimberly get sick off shore)

The pictures included are Christmas Eve (2007) at our home before church, Macey's 4th birthday pajama party at her house last month, and the girls and their Dads on the boat. Emerson and Kamryn think Macey hung the moon and are much happier in the wagon behind her Barbie jeep than with all of us Christmas Eve.

Thanks again Gloria and let me know what I can do to help.
