Ro-Hawks! This is the first email coming to you regarding the
demolition of the last of the old buildings and the removal and re-placement of
the Ro-Hawk Mosaic which was the Class of 1964's Gift to the School. The
auction is explained below - unfortunately, you must be present to purchase
items AND the auction is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Good luck!
(By the way and as a form of bringing it full circle, Derick Bird, the son Gary Bird - Class of '64, is on the demolition team).

Also we are hoping to save some of
the bricks from the old building and have them for sale for keeping for yourself OR having
them engraved with your name and class and repurposing them at the school in a
walkway or patio. This hasn't been firmed up as of today.
Regarding the demolition
of our high school building. The original cafeteria will remain and be
remodeled and repurposed into to a technical center and conference room. Our original
gym and the original administration offices remain, however there is a second
new gym and cafeteria which look great. Superintendent Johnson, RFISD, has
replaced or upgraded almost all the buildings for the present and future
students. Come see the campus if you haven’t seen it already to see the many
improvements.
Everything will also be posted in my
BLOG which you can access here:
